Nairobi's community-first maker space
More than a workspace. A tight-knit community of makers combining software, hardware, and creativity.
Why M254
Not just another coworking space
Kenya's makers lack a true home. We built something different.
Community first
We're not a desk rental service. We're a community that happens to have desks. Frequent events — game nights, hackathons, workshops, founder sessions — build genuine relationships between members.
Full spectrum
Software + Hardware + Creative under one roof. Whether you code, solder, or design — this is your home. Access to 3D printers, electronics lab, recording studio, and more.
Small by design
Intentionally small. No anonymous faces in a crowd. Everyone knows everyone. Quality over quantity. Deep relationships over networking cards.
Outcomes guaranteed
Real mentorship from experienced builders. Internship placements with our partner companies. We measure our success by your success — not by square footage rented.

Questions we get asked
Everything you need to know about membership and the space.
Start by booking a tour to see our space. If we feel like a good fit for each other, you can submit a membership application. We review applications weekly and will get back to you within 7 days.
We're community-first, not desk-first. Our membership is intentionally capped at 50 to ensure everyone knows everyone. We combine software, hardware, and creative tools under one roof, and our events calendar is packed with opportunities to learn, build, and connect.
3D printers, laser cutter, electronics lab with soldering stations and oscilloscopes, recording studio, professional camera gear, high-speed internet, meeting rooms, and a fully stocked kitchen. All included in membership.
Absolutely! We encourage everyone to book a tour first. This gives you a chance to see the space, meet some members, and ask questions. Tours are free and typically last 30-45 minutes.
Members have 24/7 access to the space. Staffed hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Events often run in the evenings and on weekends.
Membership is month-to-month with no long-term contracts. We ask for 30 days notice if you decide to leave, but there's no penalty for cancellation.
